Plants vs. Zombies

Many people probably know about this popular game that PopCap Games has created, the cute yet somewhat gruesome game, Plants vs. Zombies. This tower defence game has earned much praise, including gaining 88/100 from Metacritic and 89.5% from GameRankings. What makes this games so addicting anyway?

Plants vs. Zombie is a tower defence game. No, not the type with long windy roads. The field is a five or six by nine square lawn where the zombies come from somewhere at the right. You plant your plants on the field and the zombies slowly walk over and devour any plant on their way. Your plants fight back with peashooters shooting peas, potato mines that plant themselves in the ground and wait for the right time to blow up under the zombies’ feet. They don’t just attack; sunflowers give out sun (what that is needed to plant your plants) and the walnut family protects your plants.

There’s also interesting audio, cute graphics and the other mini-games which are completely addicting. The many mini-games provide a relief from the continuous zombie waves (not meaning that there aren’t any zombies there…).

There are even more reasons why you should play the game, but I won’t reveal them. It’ll spoil your fun that way. Have fun trying the trial on PopCap or watching the teaser on YouTube. If you really like it, you can purchase for a low $20!
